- What initially got you interested in waxing?
I really loved the immediate gratification you’d get from the service! It’s not like a facial which shows results over time, it’s for the most part instant! There is one goal, to remove the hair correctly & efficiently, & I liked the idea of having one task!
- What type of customer do you recommend waxing to, over other forms of hair removal?
Those who suffer from ingrown hairs & irritation / razor burn are going to love the clear skin & smooth results you can get from waxing. Waxing is great for those with coarse hair, or even those who have finished rounds of laser & have minimal regrowth!
- What are the benefits of waxing vs. other forms of hair removal?
Waxing lasts longer than shaving, & laser hair removal should be called laser hair reduction, as it is not permanent & doesn’t work on most skin & hair types!
Waxing pulls the hair from the root, allowing time for the new hair to come in weeks later, brand new & soft! Shaving cuts the hair at the skin's surface, which is why you get that prickly feeling & regrowth coming back so quick!
- What types of care products are best suited for waxing clients, and what specifically drew you to (and continues to keep you with) Scrub Me Good’s products?
I always recommend a good body wash that is sulfate free & hypoallergenic, a scrub, a treatment like bikini oil, & moisturizer! I choose Scrub Me Good because it is formulated with care & integrity. Each high-quality ingredient is there for a purpose that benefits our skin. When was the last time we could read an ingredient label & not only be able to pronounce it all, but know what they are used for?! I appreciate that so much and so do my clients. I love the variety of scents, Caribbean coconut makes me feel like I’m on vacation! Clients skin is left feeling so soft & most importantly, healthy, free of irritation & ingrown hairs!
