Alyssa Hudachek from Little Things Sugar Studio in Alliance, OH is one of the amazing professionals retailing Scrub Me Good in her studio.

Little Things Sugar Studio is built around trust, education, and helping women feel comfortable during services that can feel intimidating, especially for first-time clients. That kind of care matters, and it is exactly why the right home care products can be such an important part of the client experience.

Alyssa has created a studio where clients feel supported both during their appointment and after they leave. From Brazilian sugaring to aftercare education, she understands that smooth skin is a team effort between the professional and the client.

We’re so happy to introduce you to Alyssa and share more about her story.

Q&A with Alyssa Hudachek

Little Things Sugar Studio in Alliance, OH

Question

Can you tell us a little about Little Things Sugar Studio and what inspired you to open a sugaring studio?

Initially, I just needed a career change. As a mom of two daughters, being my own boss and having schedule flexibility wasn’t just a want—it was a must! I had been a personal client of Brazilian hair removal (both wax and sugar) for over a decade, and since my background was already rooted in supporting women, pursuing my Esthetics license felt like the ultimate natural transition. Over the last three years, building Little Things Sugar Studio has been more rewarding than I ever dreamed. I am incredibly grateful that women in our community trust us with their most intimate skincare needs (and their most confidential life updates!). Let’s be real—ladies are dropping their pants for us, and that is a massive vote of confidence that we never take lightly! My goal is to keep growing our footprint so even more women can experience just how amazing, gentle, and empowering sugar hair removal can be.

Question

For someone who is new to Brazilian sugaring, what do you wish every client knew before their first appointment?

Let’s be honest: first-time Brazilians can seem super scary! If I could tell every nervous newbie just two things, it would be this: First, your comfort is our absolute top priority. If your provider isn't explaining what they're doing, or if you have a random question, ask! We love geeking out over the science of sugaring and guiding you through every step.

Second? Remember to breathe! The absolute most common phrase we hear after a first-time service is, 'Oh! That wasn't nearly as bad as I had it worked up to be in my head!' So don't stress—you've totally got this, and we promise you're in safe, gentle hands

Question

Why did you decide to retail Scrub Me Good products at Little Things Sugar Studio?

It actually started with a DM! Scrub Me Good reached out to me on Instagram and offered to send over a few samples. I’m always down to try new things, but the moment they arrived, I was completely hooked. The scents were absolutely fantastic, and my skin felt incredibly soft after exfoliating. It was instantly clear to me that their ingredients were top-tier and that my skin was genuinely happy.

Right then, I knew I had to carry them for my clients. We regularly stock their sugar scrubs and their Bikini Care Oil, which is an absolute game-changer. While I also sell a balm option at the studio, I find that if a balm feels a bit too heavy for a client's texture preference, the Bikini Care Oil is the ultimate lightweight, soothing alternative. Plus, as a small business owner myself, I deeply connect with Scrub Me Good being a fellow female-owned business. Women supporting women is everything—we have to have each other's backs!

Question

What role does education play when helping clients understand why exfoliation and moisturizing matter after waxing or sugaring?

Education is absolutely everything in our studio! When clients understand the why behind their skin's behavior, they feel so much more empowered to care for it properly at home. I like to think of post-sugar care as a team effort: my job is to give you a flawless service in the treatment room, and your job is to keep that skin happy between appointments.

When a client knows exactly why regular exfoliating and moisturizing matter, they can take real accountability for their results. Plus, if they are diligently doing all the right things at home and a skin reaction still pops up, it makes our job as pros so much easier. We can quickly narrow down the variables and figure out exactly what needs to change to get their skin back on track!

Question

What has been the most challenging part of owning your own beauty business?

Hands down, the most challenging part is the back-office work and finding the time to work on the business, rather than just in the business. Sugaring and hanging out with my incredible clients every day? That part is a breeze and so incredibly enjoyable! But when it’s time to sit down at my desk for bookkeeping, taxes, or inventory tracking... let’s just say I need a really good snack and a massive cup of coffee to stay motivated! Balancing the creative, people-loving side of esthetics with the less-glamorous paperwork side is definitely a daily juggling act.

Question

What advice would you give to another esthetician or sugarist who wants to start retailing aftercare products but feels nervous about selling?

My biggest piece of advice is to start small—you absolutely do not need a massive retail wall overnight! Begin with a few key players that perfectly complement the exact services you offer.

I also have a golden rule: I only retail products that I have personally tested, researched, and fallen in love with. In my studio, I stock a mix of brands—some that have great industry recognition, and others that are fellow, female-owned small businesses whose success I want to support as much as possible.

If you're nervous about selling, remember this mindset shift: your clients want your advice! They trust you with their skin, and they want to know which products will actually help them maintain their results at home. Don't go crazy and over-invest right out of the gate. Start small with a few high-quality staples, and let your retail shelves grow naturally as your confidence and sales do.

Retail Works Best When It Starts With Trust

Alyssa’s answers are such a good reminder that retail does not have to feel pushy or complicated. When it comes from real experience, client education, and products you personally believe in, it becomes part of the service you already provide.

For waxing and sugaring professionals, aftercare can make a big difference in how clients feel between appointments. When clients understand why exfoliation and moisturizing matter, they are better prepared to care for their skin at home and maintain smoother results between visits.

We are so grateful to have Little Things Sugar Studio as part of the Scrub Me Good retail family. Alyssa’s support means so much to us, and we love seeing our products become part of the client care experience inside studios like hers.

If you are a waxing or sugaring professional looking for simple, effective body care products to retail in your studio, our exfoliating body scrubs and Bikini Care Oil are a great place to start.
